<< MISSION >>
To meet the physical and spiritual needs of the Dominican people, one person at a time, glorifying God and drawing people to Him. That each person has the opportunity to know, grow, and experience the grace and love of Jesus Christ.
<< VISION >>
By involving ourselves and being part of the lives of the people in our communities, we intentionally become part of these communities---living with them, eating with them, hearing and sharing the gospel with them in any aspect of life through our words and deeds.
Leadership Development & Church Advancement
<< Our Focus >>
By Grace Alone ministries leverages over 20 years of international ministry experience of church planting and short-term missions trips to put in place programs in the Dominican Republic (DR) to serve the poor and neglected.
Ministry founder Jean Pierre Sangai, born as a Pastor's son in the Democratic Republic of Congo saw the powerful effect that those serving the poor and developing long-lasting relationships could have on a community. God placed on his heart a desire to invest in the DR and walk alongside the people there.
God answered prayers with a plot of land south of Santo Domingo that is now used to meet the needs of the communities and fulfill the vision of serving people and transforming their lives, to reach one person at a time to know, grow and experience the love and grace of Jesus Christ.
Future plans include training local lay leaders and pastors, providing primary health care for the communities, and providing a place for holistic cross-cultural experience for teams coming to serve in the communities. The property named Fuente de Vida, is a place to transform children, young men and women’s lives to become spiritually mature as well as provide an environment for reconciliation between two cultures – Dominican and Haitian.
BGA's goals for Fuente de Vida are:
to alleviate poverty by working together with people in communities, working side by side and investing in their lives helps us to grow together
to provide clean water, essential to give people hope for good health in their daily living
to provide tools for spiritual maturity which will allow people to understand that they have hope as they meet and grow in Jesus Christ
to empower our brothers and sisters by teaching responsibilities as a way of lifting communities to get from under the chasm of poverty they feel inside
and to educate through knowing the Gospel and teaching communities tools that can make them resourceful, become powerful engines that energize people to advance in life.
